Who I am ?
I'm Hilary Bohl, an independent Dyslexia Specialist and Qualified Assessor based in Hull. With extensive experience in education and specialist assessment, I've dedicated my career to helping children and adults understand and navigate dyslexia.
I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Dyslexia and Literacy and am a qualified Specialist Assessor for access arrangements. My approach combines thorough professional assessment with genuine care for each individual's unique situation.
Working with Children
I understand that for many children, the assessment process can feel daunting. That's why I create a relaxed, supportive environment where young people feel comfortable. I take time to explain what we're doing and why, building confidence throughout the process. My goal is not just to identify dyslexia, but to help each child understand their unique strengths and how they learn best.
Working with Adults
Many adults I work with have suspected they may be dyslexic for years, sometimes decades. Whether you're seeking assessment for workplace support, further education, or simply to understand yourself better, I provide a respectful, judgment-free space. An assessment can bring clarity and open doors to support you may not have known was available.
