I'm Hilary Bohl, an independent dyslexia specialist and qualified assessor based in Hull, with extensive experience in education and specialist assessment.
I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Dyslexia and Literacy and am a qualified specialist assessor for access arrangements. My approach combines professional assessment with genuine care for each person's circumstances.
Assessments take place in a relaxed, supportive setting. I explain what I'm doing and why, so children feel confident and at ease.
My aim is not only to identify dyslexia, but to help each child understand their strengths and how they learn best.
Working with Adults
Many adults I work with have wondered about dyslexia for years, sometimes decades. I offer a respectful, non-judgemental space, whether the assessment is for work, further study or simply understanding yourself.
An assessment can also open the door to support you may not have known was available.
